Abhijeet proved again that he can sing with 'Joh Jeeta Wohi Superstar'

Abhijeet was voted as winner of first Indian Idol by many Indians. But there were many people who were saying that it was only his smile and huge female fan following that won him the title. However, five years after winning the title Abhijeet again proved that he has a singing talent with the Star Plus show 'Joh Jeeta Wohi Superstar'. This Indian Idol is earning many praises for his performance on the show.

'Joh Jeeta Wohi Superstar' is chess between the winners (champions) and runners-up (challengers) of past reality show. Abhijeet received praises not only from the judges of the show but from his competitors as well, including his own competitors from Indian Idol i.e. Amit Sana and Rahul Vaidya.

Many has asked him that why he wants to prove it again to the audience with this show. Abhijeet said, "I participated in this show to prove I can sing. A lot of people weren't happy when I became Idol. Amit and Rahul were hot favorites. People only liked my smile. Today they do realize I have it in me."

Abhijeet later said that he was first nervous while entering the show, but was never afraid to put his title on risk. "My family, friends and fans were scared; they thought I was risking it by pitting myself against the others. But if I don't take risks now, then I will probably never," added Abhijeet Sawant.

After Indian Idol, Abhijeet has released two solo albums Aapka Abhijeet Sawant and Junoon. Both of them received very well by the audiences. Abhijeet also is doing his acting debut with director Hemant Prabhu's film 'Lottery'. He is also producing a Marathi film which is a comedy. Although he has proved a lot, he still has to prove lot as a playback singer. Abhijeet has sung in as many of two Bollywood films but not still established himself as a prominent playback singer which is aim of every singer. On that note Abhijeet said, "I tried hard, I approached almost every music director. I was willing to even sing scratch songs but no one gave me a chance. They all prefer working with established singers."
